Trump’s Imbecilic, Un-Biblical Religious Freedom Executive Order
A possible Religious Freedom executive order is currently being passed around to federal staff and advocacy organizations.
The ignorance in it is dumbfounding.
As reported by “The Nation,” it defines religious organizations so broadly that it includes “any organization, including closely held for-profit corporations,” and protects “religious freedom” in every walk of life: “when providing social services, education, or healthcare; earning a living, seeking a job, or employing others; receiving government grants or contracts; or otherwise participating in the marketplace, the public square, or interfacing with Federal, State or local governments.”
Basically, this is legalized discrimination.

Donald Trump's Approval Rating Continues To Nosedive
President Donald Trump’s approval rating continued to drop Wednesday in Gallup’s daily presidential poll.
According to the polling company, 35 percent of respondents approved of Trump’s performance in office, down from the 36 percent approval published on Monday and Tuesday. Fifty-nine percent of respondents disapproved of his performance, beating the previous high of 57 percent on March 18.
Trump’s net approval is now at negative 24 percent, down from record of negative 21 percent set on March 18.
Gallup arrives at its numbers by averaging its previous three days of polling. Wednesday’s numbers reflect polling conducted since Sunday, two days after House Republican leadership pulled a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare, citing lack of support within their own caucus.
As Gallup’s editor-in-chief noted Monday, Trump has surpassed the record low approval ratings in both the Obama and Clinton presidencies: 38 and 37 percent, respectively. Former President George W. Bush hit his low, of 25 percent, in late 2008.

Vatican Urges Trump To Change Climate Change Position
“This is a challenge for us,” said Cardinal Peter Turkson, the pope’s point man for the environmental, immigration and development, when asked about Trump’s executive order dismantling Obama-era climate change regulations and his immigration policies.
“Fortunately, in the United States, there are dissenting voices, people who are against Trump’s positions,” said Turkson, who is from Ghana and was one of the driving forces behind the pope’s 2015 encyclical letter on environmental protection.
“This, for us, is a sign that little by little, other positions and political voices will emerge and so we hope that Trump himself will reconsider some of his decisions,” Turkson told reporters at a breakfast meeting.
The pope and the Vatican, which has diplomatic relations with more than 180 countries and a permanent observer status at the United Nations, have strongly backed the international Paris Agreement in 2015 to curb world temperatures.
“We as a Church, are full of hope that (Trump’s positions) will change,” Turkson said.
After Trump signed his executive order on Tuesday, keeping a campaign promise to bolster the U.S. coal industry, nations led by China and the European Union rallied to support the Paris accord, which Trump has threatened to abandon.
China, which had fought attempts by foreign governments to limit carbon emissions in the past, has become a strong proponent of efforts to halt global warming.
“While Trump is moving in the opposite direction, there is another great power in the world, China, which is showing different signs, as if America is creating a vacuum that China is filling,” Turkson said.

"Now that Obama is gone, and Republicans are totally in charge of governing, the party is discovering the inevitable tension that ensues when the populist wing of a political coalition elevates legislators chosen for their aversion to compromise, and then a president who intends to succeed via successful negotiating."
What Do Right-Leaning Populists Actually Want?
Republican voters elected legislators on the basis of their refusal to compromise and a president who promised to cut deals. It’s no wonder they’re having trouble governing.
Do populist Republicans want a federal government where politicians stand on principle and refuse to compromise? Or do they want a pragmatist to make fabulous deals?
The intra-Republican conflict highlighted by last week’s failure to repeal or replace Obamacare is usefully understood as a consequence of confusion on those questions. Elected officials associated with the Tea Party, or the House Freedom Caucus, believe that they were sent to Washington, D.C., to replace sell-outs who compromised themselves by seeking earmarks for their constituents, buckling to establishment whips, or horse-trading with the Democrats.
Yet many populist entertainers, like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, who fancied themselves champions of the Tea Party’s no-compromise ethos, morphed, during Election 2016, into cheerleaders for a different kind of populist—Donald Trump—who pointedly declared that he was seeking the nomination of the Republican Party, not the conservative party, and regularly boasted during the campaign that he should be elected in large part because of his prowess as a dealmaker. Forget principle—the art of the deal was the way to make America great again.
The contradiction was lost on many populist Republicans, who’ve been trained for years to use antagonism to President Obama and the media as a heuristic for judging loyalty––having “the right enemies” became a substitute for a positive agenda. Now that Obama is gone, and Republicans are totally in charge of governing, the party is discovering the inevitable tension that ensues when the populist wing of a political coalition elevates legislators chosen for their aversion to compromise, and then a president who intends to succeed via successful negotiating.

Trump Threatens To ‘Fight’ Freedom Caucus In Midterms If They Don’t Fall In Line
The House hardliners played a key role in tanking the GOP’s Obamacare replacement bill.
President Donald Trump warned the House Freedom Caucus on Thursday that he would work to unseat them in the 2018 midterm elections if they did not cooperate with the broader Republican agenda.
The Freedom Caucus’ objections to the GOP Obamacare replacement bill, known as the American Health Care Act, proved decisive in killing it last Friday. The legislative defeat was a major humiliation for Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) who had repeatedly promised to repeal and replace Obamacare, officially known as the Affordable Care Act.
Trump threatened the roughly 32-member group of ultraconservative Republicans with electoral reprisal on Twitter “if they don’t get on the team, & fast.”

‘Follow the trail of dead Russians’ if you want to crack 2016 election interference: Senate intel witness
Terrorism and espionage expert Clint Watts told the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday that if they want to understand Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election, then they need to “follow the trail of dead Russians.”
Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) asked Watts at the hearing, “How can the committee track this fuzzy line between the Russian oligarchs, Russian organized crime and the Russian government?”
Watts began by pointing out that he is not an expert on Russia, but a counterterrorism specialist, then explained that the Russian attack on the U.S. election had two components, the virtual or internet component and an actual physical real-world component.
The virtual assault, Watts said, came from a “disproportionate number of fake news outlets” in Eastern Europe, “conspiratorial web sites that are run from there that are English-speaking editors that are pro-Russian. Trained in Russia sometimes. How are they funded? That would be one component.”
“My hypothesis, working in the intelligence field,” he continued, “is that there is some sort of Russian intel asset that is funding them in one way or another through some sort of scheme.”
“The other part that I think we should be looking at is: Follow the trail of dead Russians,” Watts said. “There’s been more dead Russians in the past three months that are tied to this investigation who have assets in banks all over the world. They are dropping dead, even in western countries. We have seen arrests in I believe it’s Spain and different computer security companies that are based in Russia, which provide services to the United States. These are all huge openings to understand how they are funded by the Russian government. I don’t have the capability to do that from where I sit, but I think that’s a huge angle.”

Impeachment Case Strengthens As One Of Nunes’s Sources Personally Kept On WH Staff By Trump
The connections to the Russia scandal and the president himself have grown after it was revealed one of Devin Nunes's sources was personally kept on the White House staff by Donald Trump.
The connections to the Russia scandal and the president himself have grown after it was revealed one of Devin Nunes’s sources was personally kept on the White House staff by Donald Trump.
Here is the connection between Nunes and Trump:
Trump personally intervened to keep one of the two Nunes leakers, 30 yr old Ezra Cohen-Watnick, in the NSC, against NSA McMaster’s advice.
— Christina Wilkie (@christinawilkie) March 30, 2017
Ezra Cohen-Watnick is also directly connected to former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn:
"Cohen-Watnick is a former DIA official who was originally brought to the White House by Michael T. Flynn"
— Garance Franke-Ruta (@thegarance) March 30, 2017
The pieces are beginning to fit together. Devin Nunes got his information from the White House, but not just from the White House, from a Flynn connected staff member in the White House. It is impossible to believe that the White House is not hiding something as it relates to Russia.
