Low score means more testing needed.
But someone calling this test difficult, challenging others to take it prob shouldn't be in charge of our military or our Covid response

The 23 Most Surreal Moments From Trump’s Chris Wallace Interview, Ranked
For reasons that are difficult for anybody, even Chris Wallace, to understand, President Trump sat for a lengthy interview with Chris Wallace, a Fox News host who gives tough interviews. (Wallace expressed surprise that Trump would submit to the interview after having berated him on Twitter.) The interview, which aired Sunday, opened a fire hose of crazy that boggles comprehension even after accounting for the demolished standards of the Trump era and processing it several times.

In a normal presidency, any one of these answers would have created a problem ranging from days-long scandal to a presidency-defining epigraph like “I am not a crook.” Trump’s protection, as it were, is that none of these comments will have such an effect because there are too many of them. Here is a ranking of the 23 most surreal moments of this televised fever dream. The completely subjective scale is based on a combination of how novel, crazy, and politically self-destructive every claim is. ...

Donald Trump Is a Broken Man
In another time, in a different circumstance, there would perhaps be room to pity such a person.
by Peter Wehner

... There were certainly ugly elements on the American right during the Reagan presidency, and Reagan himself was not without flaws. But as president, he set the tone, and the tone was optimism, courtliness and elegance, joie de vivre.

He has since been replaced by the crudest and cruelest man ever to be president. But not just that. One senses in Donald Trump no joy, no delight, no laughter. All the emotions that drive him are negative. There is something repugnant about Trump, yes, but there is also something quite sad about the man. He is a damaged soul.

In another time, in a different circumstance, there would perhaps be room to pity such a person. But for now, it is best for the pity to wait. There are other things to which to attend. The American public faces one great and morally urgent task above all others between now and November: to do everything in its power to remove from the presidency a self-pitying man who is shattering the nation and doesn’t even care.

Trump’s Now Claiming He Got ‘Extra Points’ on Cognitive Test
Haltingly repeating the phrase “person, woman, man, camera, TV” to show off his memory, the president claimed he left doctors in awe and received “extra points” on the test.

Amid renewed criticism of his COVID-19 response and new controversy over his decision to sic federal forces on Democratic-led cities, President Trump on Wednesday night resurrected his story about a 2018 cognitive test he insists he got a “perfect mark” on, now claiming he also got “extra points” for a particularly impressive feat.
The feat? Repeating the words “person, woman, man, camera, TV” in the right order.

In recent weeks, the president has repeatedly called on former Vice President Joe Biden to take the Montreal Cognitive Assessment while bragging that he left doctors “very surprised” that he scored perfectly on the exam. Fox News anchor Chris Wallace, however, pointed out to Trump that the exam isn’t actually hard, as it is meant to test cognitive impairment. ...

... During a Wednesday interview with Fox News medical contributor Dr. Marc Siegel, Trump was again obsessed with how well he did on the MoCA, a 30-point assessment that is administered over 10 minutes. ...

...“It’s not that easy, but as soon as they announced my score and the test, all of this stuff went away about me,” he proclaimed. “Remember, they were talking about the 25th Amendment and nonsense. They said, wow. Even the enemies, they don’t say that anymore. But they do say it about Joe Biden.”

Recent polls, however, show Americans believe Biden’s cognitive abilities match or exceed the president’s. A Fox News poll reveals that 47 percent believe Biden has the mental soundness to be president, compared to 43 percent who feel Trump does.

“Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV”: Trump’s Mental Health Is a Test for America
Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV. Sadly, I suspect I don’t need to explain what I’m referring to here. If you’re reading this, you most likely already know what these five words are: a direct quote from President Trump, who told a visibly discomfited Fox News interviewer the other night that he had aced a mental-acuity test by correctly reciting them. Watch the clip, then watch it again: Trump even praised himself for getting extra points after remembering the five words in the correct order. Extra points. “It’s actually not that easy,” Trump said. “But for me it was easy.”

Yes, it has once again come to this: the President of the United States bragging—twice, just this week, in Fox interviews—that he does not have dementia and daring Joe Biden to take the same cognitive test. When Trump pulled this stunt with Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday,” Wallace practically laughed at him. The test requires takers to correctly identify an elephant, Wallace pointed out. “It’s not the hardest test,” Wallace said. But Trump’s mental state has long been the elephant in the room for Republicans, and it’s not surprising that most G.O.P. officials refuse to mention it. ...

... That Trump even took the cognitive test suggests that he, or his doctor, was concerned about his mental decline, as the neurologist who created it, Dr. Ziad Nasreddine, told the Washington Post this week. It’s hard to imagine a candidate in full command of his faculties who would make a point of publicly inviting comment on his mental capacity to do the job. Trump, meanwhile, is doing so in the midst of a campaign that he is already losing, at a time when polls show that a majority of voters do not think he has the “mental sharpness” to be President, as a recent ABC News/Washington Post survey put it. (It is notable in and of itself that the pollsters are even asking this question, which is hardly a routine query. Can you imagine a survey asking voters this question about Barack Obama and Mitt Romney? Or Bill Clinton or Al Gore or the George Bushes?) ...

... Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, is out with a best-selling new book, which claims that, in addition to whatever age-related impairment he may be suffering from, the President has an undiagnosed learning disability that hampers his processing and absorption of information—another elephant in the room that is impossible to ignore when Trump visibly struggles to read written remarks, as he did several times this week. “I don’t think he’s fit for office,” Trump’s former national-security adviser, John Bolton, said while on book tour last month. “I don’t think he has the competence to carry out the job.”

Beyond these ever-harder-to-ignore questions about Trump’s basic fitness to handle the complexities of the Presidency, there is an entire public debate over his mental health. A preening narcissist in the best of times, Trump’s lifelong self-absorption, lack of empathy, chronic untruthfulness, and apparent inability to distinguish right from wrong have led hundreds of psychiatrists to break with their profession’s rule against diagnosis without examination and call Trump mentally ill....

Trump’s Dementia is on Vivid Display in Sunday Twitter Tantrum
There is nothing that Donald Trump likes better than to childishly insult his critics and political opponents. With regard to Joe Biden, that has included numerous references to mental stability and fitness for office. Unfortunately for Trump, the American people have thoroughly rejected his claims and, even worse, believe that Trump is the one with the cognitive dysfunction. And in a head to head comparison, more voters say that Trump is unfit to serve.

Curve Ball: Trump Reportedly Never Got The Yankees Pitch Invitation He Canceled
Trump came up with his own date just as Dr. Anthony Fauci was about to grab the limelight with his wonky opening-day pitch, according to The New York Times.

New York Yankees officials and White House staff were stumped when President Donald Trump announced — then canceled — a date to throw out the first pitch at a Yankee Stadium game next month — because he hadn’t been invited, The New York Times reported Monday.

Trump said Sunday he just couldn’t make it to the Yankees game with the Red Sox in New York because he’s too focused on “the China virus” — meaning COVID-19.

Trump had announced Thursday that he was invited to throw out the ceremonial pitch by his “great friend” Yankee President Randy Levine. “I think I’m doing that on Aug. 15 at Yankee Stadium,” he added.

Nope, a source told the Times. Trump had reportedly directed aides to call the Yankees and make good on a standing offer from Levine to throw out an opening pitch. But no date was finalized, according to the newspaper. ...

Like Father, Like Son: President Trump Lets Others Mourn
Whether he is dealing with the loss of a family member or the deaths of nearly 150,000 Americans in a surging pandemic, President Trump almost never displays empathy in public. He learned it from his father.

The Marble Collegiate Church on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan was packed with developers, politicians and New York celebrities, more than 600 in all, for the funeral of Fred C. Trump, the builder whose no-frills brick rental towers transformed Brooklyn and Queens.

Three of his four living children, who had grown up listening to the sermons of the church’s most famous minister, Norman Vincent Peale, offered loving eulogies to their father. Then it was Donald Trump’s turn.
He began by talking about himself.

He had learned of his father’s death, he told the crowd that day in June 1999, just moments after reading a front-page New York Times article about his biggest development to date, Trump Place.
“Donald started his eulogy by saying, ‘I was having the greatest year of my business career, and I was sitting having breakfast thinking of how well things were going for me,’” when he learned of his father’s death, said Alan Marcus, a former public relations consultant for the Trump Organization. “Donald’s eulogy was all about Donald, and everybody in Vincent Peale’s church knew it.”

Gwenda Blair, a Trump family biographer, also attended the funeral. She, too, could not help but take note of the eulogy, which she described in her book “The Trumps.”
“Was it surprising?” Ms. Blair said in an interview. “No. Was it stunning? Yes.”

Whether he is dealing with the loss of a family member, the deaths of nearly 150,000 Americans in a surging pandemic, more than 30 million people out of work or the racial unrest brought on by the killings of African-Americans by white police officers, President Trump almost never shows empathy in public. A book published this summer by his niece, Mary L. Trump, has focused renewed attention on this trait. ...

Irak erlässt Haftbefehl gegen Trump

<<Wegen Tötung von Top-General: Irak erlässt Haftbefehl gegen Donald Trump>>
07.01.2021, 20:12 Uhr | dpa
